Anna Kendrick says the small budget of Happy Christmas made Drinking Buddies feel like Mission: Impossible 5.
Kendrick reunites with director Joe Swanberg - who she worked with on Drinking Buddies - for this new project.
And while the actress says that the film was made on a tiny budget, she admits that she had a great time making the film.
Speaking to MTV News the actress said: "Joe [Swanberg] texted me the day after we wrapped 'Drinking Buddies' about making this movie, and I was immediately and completely on board.
"This one was different in that we had even less money, believe it or not. But that was really fun. We were shooting on film, so all the money was really for that.
"We shot it in his house. Everybody wore their own clothes and did their own hair and makeup.... It made 'Drinking Buddies' feel like it was Mission: Impossible 5."
Kendrick was at the Sundance Film Festival where she was promoting Happy Christmas.
We are going to be seeing plenty of Kendrick on the big screen this year as she has also completed work on The Last 5 Years and Into The Woods.
Happy Christmas is released later this week.
