Anna Kendrick thinks she's a "funny person in a ridiculous way".
The 33-year-old actress - who stars alongside Blake Lively in the new drama film 'A Simple Favor' - has starred in a number of comedy roles during her career, but she's not sure whether she truly has any comedic roots.
Speaking at the 'A Simple Favor' premiere at the BFI Southbank in London on Monday night (17.09.18), Anna told talkRADIO: "Do I have comic roots? I don't know if they're meant to be funny.
"I just make them funny because I'm a funny person but in a ridiculous way."
Anna's latest movie is directed by Paul Feig, who previously helmed the 2011 hit 'Bridesmaids'.
Paul revealed that 'A Simple Favor' mixes elements of a thriller film with some comedic moments.
He shared: "They're not really jokes. It's more that the stakes and the tension are so high in a thriller that it's fun to kind of have extreme characters and quirky moments. And then you sort of laugh at people's reactions to what they're going through."
The movie tells the story of a vlogger who seeks to uncover the truth behind her best friend's disappearance.
And Paul has admitted to being "religious" about the thriller aspects of the movie.
He said: "I wanted it to be a thriller, first and foremost. I was very religious about that aspect of it. I just wanted that storytelling to be accurate and work, so that you're on the edge of your seat and you're surprised.
"But I also wanted it to be fun at the same time too, which means you can have a few laughs while you're watching."
