Angelina Jolie says she was only prepared to return to the director's chair for a 'certain kind of film'.
Jolie is set to helm her second feature film Unbroken - which will be released at the end of the year - but was linked to the director's chair of Fifty Shades of Grey.
When asked about with Fifty Shades of Grey by Entertainment Weekly, Jolie said: "I - I was just."
Before adding: "I - I think they're just ... it's funny, I think with directing, you just think, 'I'm better at telling some stories than others,' but, um, who knows?
"I came very clear out of the gate after [2011's romantic drama] 'Blood And Honey', if I ever directed again, it would have to be a certain kind of film."
Unbroken is the first directorial outing for Jolie since In The Land of Blood and Honey, will tell the true story of Louis Zamperini.
Zamperini was an Olympic runner who was captured by the Japanese during the Second World War. Jack O'Connell will play Zamperini, while Domhnall Gleeson and Jai Courtney are also on board.
As for Fifty Shades of Grey, Sam Taylor-Wood is in the director's chair.
