Andy Serkis is believed to be in talks to helm a live action version of The Jungle Book.
Warner Bros is the studio behind bringing Rudyard Kipling's famous novel to the big screen, and Serkis is just the latest name linked to the director's chair.
Last month Ron Howard was believed to be in early talks to helm, while Alejandro González Iñárritu has also been linked to the project.
Serkis is best known for his work in front of the camera, but is set to make his directorial debut later this year with an adaptation of Animal Farm.
He did work as a second unit director for Peter Jackson on The Hobbit, but is now looking to tackle directing for himself.
This is one of two The Jungle Book movies, as Jon Favreau is set to direct one for Disney.
It was revealed earlier this month that Idris Elba would voice the character of Shere Khan in the film.
It is not yet known when the Warner Bros movie will start shooing, and now cast has yet been announced.
