American Sniper

American Sniper continues to enjoy success at the U.S. box office as it held on to the number one spot.

So far, the movie has grossed in excess of $316 million worldwide, with $250 million of that coming in America - and it comfortably held off the competition again this weekend.

Paddington was on the up this week as it jumped from three to two. The movie took a further $21 million over the weekend as it continues to win over audiences around the world.

Project Almanac was the highest new entry inside the top ten this week, as it opened at number three. Project Almanac is a new science fiction movie and sees Dean Israelite make his feature film debut. Black of White was also new in at number four.

The Boy Next Door was one of this week's biggest fallers as the Jennifer Lopez movie slipped three places from two to five. Comedy The Wedding Ringer was also down this week, as it dropped two spots from four to six.

The Imitation Game was down one at seven, while Taken 3 was also going down, as it was the other three place faller at eight.

Animation film Strange Magic was down two at nine, while The Loft was the third and final new entry inside the top ten at ten.
