Amanda Seyfried is rumoured to be in talks for new film The Most Wonderful Time.
According to The Wrap the actress is in discussions about taking on one of the lead roles alongside Diane Keaton and Alan Arkin.
Jessie Nelson will be in the director's chair for the film while the script has been written by Steven Rogers.
The story will follow a long-term married couple, Charlotte (Keaton) and Sam (Arkin), who have been growing apart over the years and decide to host their final Christmas celebration before revealing to their loved ones that they're separating.
However, as their grown children return for the festive season with their own relationship issues, the entire family begin to share memories and Charlotte and Sam start to question their decision to end their marriage.
2013 has been a very busy year for Seyfried having starred in Les Miserables, Lovelace and The Big Wedding as well as lending her voice to animation film Epic.
She has also completed work on A Million Ways to Die in the West and is currently shooting While We're Young.
The film hasn't been given an official release date yet, but it is expected to be finished by the end of 2014.
