Alden Ehrenreich has reportedly signed a deal to play Han Solo in three movies.
Ehrenreich was recently confirmed to portray the iconic character in the 'Star Wars' spin-off, which looks at the intergalactic scavenger's early years.
And Disney are said to have signed him up for at least three movies as there is so much material for storylines.
An insider told the NY Daily News newspaper: "There is a real sense of excitement around the Han Solo movie and its potential. Given that Han's early adventures do not need to be tied to the Empire, it leaves story lines open with the opportunity to really give fans something different. They can explore new galaxies and crazy creatures and bring in a wide array of new characters.
"They feel that his character has the right potential to become a central figure in several movies. They're keeping things under wraps at the moment, but the deal is that he has signed for at least three movies."
Alden - who will take over the reigns of the iconic character from Harrison Ford - beat off competition from big Hollywood names including Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Dave Franco, Jack Reynor, Scott Eastwood and Taron Egerton.
However, fans are still being kept in the dark about the story's plot but it has been confirmed that it will focus around "an origin story about Han Solo and Chewie".
The film is thought to be titled 'Han Solo: A Star Wars Story' and is slated for released on May 25, 2018.
Speaking about how he won the part, Alden said: "I screen tested with Chewbacca - I'd never acted with a Wookiee!"
