Alan Tudyk is set to take on the role of K-2SO in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and the actor says there's a great bond between him and human Cassian Andor.
Tudyk is set to bring the character of K-2SO to life in the already highly anticipated Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which will hit the big screen at the end of the year.
We have seen some great relationships between droids and humans in the Star Wars franchise, and it looks like we are going to be treated to another.
Speaking to EW, the actor said: "They've been around. They've been together for a while, a couple years. He wants what Cassian wants.
"He loves Cassian, because he freed him. It's also more paternal in that [Cassian] gave him life and took away the bonds of his programming."
Diego Luna will take on the role of Cassian in the film and will be joined on the cast list by Felicity Jones, Forest Whitaker, Ben Mendelsohn, Mad Mikkelsen, Donnie Yen, and Riz Ahmed.
And Tudyk went on to drop little hints about what we can expect from K-2SO when we meet him. And it looks like he may deliver some of the film's humour.
The actor continued: "He has no filter. There was an old line, it's not in there anymore... I don't think I can say it.
"I can't say what I want to say, but Kaytoo can say what he wants. He can say insulting things very casually if he thinks they're true."
We are also going to see Tudyk lend his voice to upcoming Disney film Moana, which is also released in December.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is released 16th December
