Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje says he is ‘hopeful’ of a ‘very long relationship’ with Marvel.
Akinnuoye-Agbaje became part of the Marvel franchise for the first time last year, as he took on the role of Algrim aka Kurse in Thor: The Dark World.
However, the actor has since been linked to the role of Black Panther – a movie of this comic book character is believed to be in the pipeline.
Speaking to Digital Spy, the actor said: "I'm actually a fan of the Marvel kingdom, I grew up with it. Just to be a part of it is great for me," he said.
"Whatever else comes - I got to play two characters in one movie - now if something else comes up it's great as well. It's the beginning of, hopefully, a very long relationship so we'll see what happens."
There has been a lot of speculation that a Black Panther movie could well be on the way, however, there has been nothing official from Marvel.
In fact, apart from Ant-Man and Captain America 3, there have been no more announcements about upcoming movies in Phase 3 and beyond.
As for Akinnuoye-Agbaje, he will be back on the big screen this week as he teamed up with Kit Harington for new action blockbuster Pompeii: his first big screen outing since Thor: The Dark World.
He has also completed work on the remake of Annie, alongside Jamie Foxx, Cameron Diaz and Quenzhane Wallis.
