Aaron Taylor-Johnson has finally been confirmed on the cast list for The Avenger: Age of Ultron.
The British actor has been linked to the role of Quicksilver ever since it was announced that he and Scarlet Witch would be two of the new character appearing in the highly anticipated sequel.
The Wrap report that the delay was been down to an overlap between his media commitments for Godzilla and the shooting schedule for Age of Ultron.
But it seems that any issues have now been ironed out and Taylor-Johnson is on board the Marvel film.
Age of Ultron will be the second Avengers film to hit the big screen - the first being Avengers Assemble last summer - and will bring to a close Phase Two of Marvel films.
It has already been announced that Scarlet Witch will be played by Taylor-Johnson's Godzilla co-star Elizabeth Olsen.
Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlet Johansson, Mark Ruffalo and Jeremy Renner will all return as Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hulk and Hawkeye.
Joss Whedon will also be back in the director's chair and has penned the screenplay for the film.
Taylor-Johnson and Olsen are not the only new faces on the cast list as James Spader is on board to play Ultron.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron is released 1st May 2015.
