Aaron Eckhart has described the new version of Frankenstein as ‘more human’ than we have ever seen before.
Eckhart will be back on the big screen in the new year in I Frankenstein as he takes on the role of Frankenstein’s creation Adam.
The movie is directed by Stuart Beattie, who is working with Eckhart for the first time, and is based on the graphic novel by Kevin Grevioux.
Speaking to Empire the actor said: “Our Frankenstein is so different. He doesn’t have bolts, he doesn’t have a square head, he’s more human than that.
“The problem is his trust issue, after however many hundreds of years, after everyone betraying him and being cruel to him.”
Actors Bill Nighy, Jai Courtney, Miranda Otto and Yvonne Strahovski all join Eckhart on an exciting cast list.
200 years after his shocking creation, Dr. Frankenstein’s creature, Adam, still walks the earth. But when he finds himself in the middle of a war over the fate of humanity, Adam discovers he holds the key that could destroy humankind.
I Frankenstein is released 24th January 2014.
