A Royal Night Our is based on true events and follows princesses Elizabeth and Margaret as they left Buckingham Palace to celebrate with the people of London.
Sarah Gadon and Bel Powley will take on the central roles of Elizabeth and Margaret, while Julian Jarrold will return to the director's chair.

Jarrold has brought us movies such as Kinky Boots and Becoming Jane during his career but he has been focusing on TV projects in the last couple of years with Appropriate Adult and The Great Train Robbery under his belt.
Gadon and Powley are not the only cast members to watch out for as Emily Watson, Rupert Everett, Jack Reynor, and Roger Allam make up a very exciting and talented cast list.
