Zoe Saldana has reportedly replaced Mary J Blige as Nina Simone in a biopic of the singer's life.
Nina is a project that has been in the pipeline for some time and when it was discussed at the Cannes Film Festival back in 2010 Blige was in the leading role.
But according to The Grid things have changed and now Saldana is set to take over.
The movie is set to be based on her 1992 autobiography I Put a Spell on You and Cynthia Mort is penning the screenplay.
We will next see Saldana in The Words, which sees her team up with Bradley Cooper and Olivia Wilde.
She has also completed filming on the Star Trek sequel, which will see her reprise the role of Uhura.
Blood Ties and Out of the Furnace have also been completed while talk of an Avatar sequel have been swirling since the first movie was released.
