Zachary Quinto has speculated on what he thinks may happen to Spock in the second Star Trek movie.
Quinto starred as Spock in the 2009 J.J. Abrams directed movie alongside Chris Pine. While a sequel is in the pipeline there is, as of yet, not script for the movie.
Director Abrams revealed earlier this summer that he had no intention to rush the project.
Speaking to io9 the actor said: "I would imagine - this is just speculative - his planet's been destroyed, he feels a real imperative to rebuild his race.
"But he's in love with a human. There's probably some potential conflict in that dynamic; I would not be surprised, and I would be intrigued and excited by that if that were the case."
The actor also admitted that he was excited to find out who the villain of the movie was set to be.
"I'm interested to see what the villain situation is. What are we fighting against? What is our mission? That's going to be really cool for me.
"I'm really excited to see the direction in which they take my character in general."
Comedy What's Your Number is the next project for Quinto as he teams up with Anna Faris and Chris Evans.
