Zac Efron has spoken out about the speculation that he is linked with the new Spiderman project.
Since the departure of Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire from the fourth Spider-Man movie Efron is just one of the names that has been linked to the reboot of the franchise.
Speaking to Access Hollywood the actor said: "I really haven't gotten that phone call yet!
"I'm a huge fan of the franchise and a huge fan of Spider-Man. I love all the movies at this point. It would be a dream come true for any guy my age."
Filmmaker Raimi and leading man Maguire reportedly left the project due to issues over the script, Kirsten Dunst has also left the project.
Efron has been linked to the central role of Peter Parker as has British actor and Twilight star Robert Pattinson.
The fourth movie in the franchise was expected to begin shooting this year.
