Zac Efron has revealed that he grew up with Dr Seuss books - especially The Lorax.
The actor will be back on the big screen this summer, well his voice will at least, as directors Chris Renaud & Kyle Balda bring the character to the big screen.
Efron is set to voice the character of Ted in the film alongside Taylor Swift & Danny DeVito.
Speaking to Flicks and Bits the actor said: "I was raised on Dr Seuss, my parents read his books to me. I'm pretty sure I learnt how to read via his pros..
"I got interested in art very young as well, I was definitely inspired by his drawings and artwork. He was definitely a figure in my childhood, an important figure."
"The Lorax in particular, I clearly remember being read that book by my parents, I vividly remember flipping through the pages. It's frozen in my mind - I can see them all.
"I still have them in what used to be my room, it's been turned into a spare room at my house. I've been kicked out, my little brother took over my room."
The movie has already topped the U.S. box office, taking over $70 million over the weekend.
But Efron is set to leave animation behind with his next project The Lucky One, which is an adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks novel.
Dr Seuss' The Lorax is released 27th July.
