Woody Allen has admitted that he was unsure about casting Rachel McAdams & Owen Wilson for his new movie Midnight In Paris.
The pair play a couple in the movie but Allen says he was worried by the fact that they had worked together in the past.
Speaking to The Press Association the filmmaker said: "I didn't like the fact they had worked together in a picture before.
"But I was certain I wanted Rachel. I saw her in the film and thought she was sensational. She was beautiful, sexy and funny, and I wanted to work with her."
"Owen is the opposite of me. I am very New York, while he is west coast.
"He personifies that in his whole delivery. He's relaxed and is a beach lover. It gives the character a whole different dimension."
Midnight In Paris is the first film for Allen since 2010 You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger last year - and a movie that see's him once again film outside of the USA.
He has already completed another movie project, The Bop Decameron, which stars Ellen Page and Jesse Eisenberg.
Midnight In Paris is released 7th October.
