Will Ferrell has admitted that he wants to return for Anchorman 2 in the role of Ron Burgundy.
Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy was released back in 2004 and follows a sexist news team who struggle to accept a woman on the team.
Talking to IESB.net the funnyman said: "I think myself and Steve, we are all in different places when we filmed it, so we have to figure that out."
"We've never been huge on the sequel thing in a way and yet, I was always kind of prodding him that if we were to do a sequel on anything, Anchorman would be the one to do it on."
The film went on to gross over $90 million, as well as being met well by the critics, launching the careers of Ferrell and his co-star Steve Carrell.
Ferrell has gone on to become one cinema's most successful comedy actors with the likes of Elf, Talladega Nights, Stranger Than Fiction and Semi-Pro all under his belt.
