Tom Hiddleston has hinted that he character Loki will be a lot different when we see him in The Avengers next year.
Loki was introduced to us earlier this year in Thor, in which Hiddleston starred alongside Chris Hemsworth. And he is set to make a return in the Joss Whedon ensemble superhero movie.
Speaking to IGN he said: "It's a little less princely, if you see what I mean. In Thor, Loki is a prince of Asgard. But by the time The Avengers starts Loki's been around the block of the universe.
"He's met some shady gangsters and he's gone undercover and he's come back looking a bit meaner.
"There's a lot more leather. There's a lot more black. There's a lot more weaponry. He's just more of a badass.
"Here you have a true god of mischief who is enjoying the chaos he creates.
"That's part of the fun of playing a character like that. You get to do some incredibly cool things, and smile through it."
But before we see him return in The Avengers the actor is all set to star in The Deep Blue Sea, alongside Rachel Weisz.
He has also completed work on Steve Spielberg's War Horse.
The Avenger is released 4th May 2012.
