Tom Hiddleston has revealed that he was always more interested in the baddies as a child.
The British actor returns to the big screen this week with his new movie War Horse, which teams him up with Steven Spielberg, but he will be back as the villain this summer.
Yes he will be reprising the role of Loki, who we saw last year in Thor, in Joss Whedon's The Avengers.
And the actor admits that some of cinema's greatest characters have been the bad guys.
Speaking to the Press Association the actor said: "I grew up watching the bad guys.
"The best characters in Tim Burton's Batman and Die Hard are Jack Nicholson's Joker and Alan Rickman's Hans Gruber, so this year's a fulfillment of a long-held dream where I get to be the ultimate baddie in a big blockbuster.
"That's cool! I'm aware of the privilege of being in that position."
