Tom Hanks has revealed that he was intimidated by Julia Roberts on the set of their new movie Larry Crowne.
As well as starring in the movie Hanks is also behind the camera for his latest project - which sees him reunite with his Charlie Wilson's War co-star.
Speaking to W magazine the Oscar winner said: "I had some teachers who looked like Julia, I would see them and think, 'I love you'.
"So there was never anyone but Julia. Still, even after she said yes, I was the boss. That meant I got to say, 'You don't wear this dress, you wear that dress'.
"And Julia's Julia - she can be intimidating."
While Hanks lent his voice to Toy Story 3 last summer we haven't seen him on the big screen since Angels & Demons back in 2009.
Larry Crowne is his first directing project since he helmed an episode of Band of Brothers in 2001.
Larry Crowne is released 1st July.
