Tom Hanks has paid tribute to actor Michael Clarke Duncan.
The Green Mile and Armageddon actor passed away over the weekend after failing to recover from the heart attack that he suffered earlier this summer.
Hanks and Clarke worked closely together on the big screen adaptation of Stephen King's novel The Green Mile.
The Oscar winning actor took to Twitter to pay tribute to Clarke: "I am terribly saddened at the loss of 'Big Mike'.
"He was the treasure we all discovered on the set of The Green Mile. He was magic. He was a big love of man, and his passing leaves us stunned."
Gary Sinise was another Green Mile actor who took to Twitter to pay his respects.
"Had the pleasure of working on 2 things with Michael Clark Duncan. The Green Mile, & as guest star on CSI NY. A real gentleman. R.I.P my friend."
Duncan can currently be seen in the first series of The Finder while he had also completed work on movies The Challenger and In The Hive.
