Tom Cruise spent two hours meeting and greeting fans who turned out for the world premiere of his new film Lions for Lambs in London.Cruise signed autographs and posed for pictures but prior to the actor arriving people's bags were searched after a previous incident were Cruise was squirted by a water pistol.Also joining Cruise at the 51st London Film Festival premiere was the film's director Robert Redford.Lions for Lambs is just one of a string of movies that are aiming to tackle the issue of the 'war on terror'.The film follows the suffering of troops in Afghanistan as well as looking at the war effort in America.Cruise is a U.S. senator and Meryl Streep a journalist who receives an explosive story from the senator.Director Redford also stars in the film as a professor who has inspired two of his students to play their part in the battle in Afghanistan.Helen Earnshaw
