Tom Courtenay says that he really liked the character Reginald in Quartet and felt very 'comfortable in his skin'.
The actor was on the red carpet earlier this week as Quartet received it's premiere in London.
Courtenay has been with the project since the beginning and has been one of the driving forces in getting the movie made.
Speaking on the red carpet Courtenay talked about the singing preparation he and other members of the cast went through before filming started:
Courtenay is joined on the cast list by Maggie Smith, Billy Connolly and Pauline Collins while Dustin Hoffman makes his directorial debut with the film.
It has been a busy year for the actor as we also saw him feature in comedy Gambit and he has completed work on Night Train to Lisbon with Jack Huston and Christopher Lee.
