Actor Tim Robbins has joined some of entertainment's biggest names as he was awarded with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.The forty nine year old, whose partner is actress Susan Sarandon, becomes the 2,371st celebrity to be given the honour and it lies besides Sarandon's star.Despite an extensive catalogue of work before 1994 Robbins really made his name starring In Shawshank Redemption as the wrongly imprisoned Andy Dufresne.Just twelve months later he was nominated for Best Director for Dead man Walking which told the story of Sister Helen Prejean, played by Susan Sarandon, who establishes a special relationship with Matthew Poncelet,Sean Penn, a man on death row.He eventually won an Oscar in 2004 for his role in Clint Eastwood's drama American River for Best Supporting Actor, which also saw his co-star Sean Penn win Best Actor.Robbins can currently be seen in the children's adventure movie The City of Ember.FemaleFirst
