Tim Burton has revealed that he regularly has 'abstract' conversations with actor Johnny Depp.
The filmmaker went on to say that he often meets up with the Oscar nominated actor, and regular work partner, to discuss movie projects.
In an interview with MTV the filmmaker said: "It's very nice to have someone that you can have a completely abstract conversation with and leave the room, feel like everything's fine, and then realise that if you pick it apart, you have absolutely no idea what either of you said."
"That's a sign of knowing somebody and connecting with somebody. I don't pretend to know [him].
"If I don't know who I am - this sounds like a bad therapy session - but I don't pretend to know anybody else. That's what keeps it all cool."
The pair are set to reunite as Burton brings his version of Alice in Wonderland to the big screen. Naturally Depp is on the cast list in the role of the Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter and Anne Hathaway join him.
The pair's collaboration looks set to continue as Depp will take on the lad role of Barnabas Collins in Burton's adaptation of Dark Shadows.
Alice in Wonderland will be released in March 2010.
