Tilda Swinton has revealed that her Oscar win was 'meaningless' to her children.
She picked up A Best Supporting Actress gong back in 2008 for her role in Michael Clayton alongside George Clooney.
And while Hollywood celebrated her win she admits that her children we not really very interested.
Speaking to W Magazine the actress said: "When I brought my Oscar home and showed the children, nobody knew what it was.
"The thing sat on the kitchen table for two weeks. It was kind of meaningless to them."
And while the win may not have had a huge impact on her family she admits that it has allowed her to move her career forward.
"It did move me up from the children's table, professionally, in Hollywood.
The actress is currently filming Moonrise Kingdom, which is directed by Wes Anderson and also stars Bruce Willis, Frances McDormand and Edward Norton.
