Academy Award® Winner Tilda Swinton (Michael Clayton, I Am Love) has today been nominated in the Best Actress (Drama) category at the 2012 Golden Globes, to take place in LA in January.
The British actress puts in yet another exceptional performance in the critically acclaimed film adaptation of the best-selling novel We Need to Talk About Kevin. Director Lynne Ramsay (Ratcatcher) picked up the award for Best Director at this year’s British Independent Film of the Year Awards.
Also a winner at the 2011 London Film Festival for Best Film, We Need to Talk About Kevin stars Academy Award nominee® John C. Reilly (Magnolia, Boogie Nights) and a truly mesmerising performance from Ezra Miller (City Island) as the titular Kevin.
The film was also the only British film to be officially selected for the 2011 Cannes Film Festival and was shot by Oscar nominated cinematographer Seamus McGarvey (Atonement).
The awards will be presented on January 15 at a star-studded ceremony hosted again by Ricky Gervais.
