Tilda Swinton has been praised by her We Need To Talk About Kevin filmmaker Lynne Ramsay.
The Oscar winning actress is back on the big screen in the adaptation of the Lionel Shriver novel - which is currently being screened at the Cannes Film Festival.
But director Ramsay had nothing bur praise for Swinton revealed that she had a 'ferocious enthusiasm' for the movie.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter Ramsay said: "Basically, Tilda took me by the scruff of the neck on it.
"Tilda had read it and wanted to make it. She had such ferocious enthusiasm for the project.
"She's in every scene. It was her spirit, her belief in me, the movie and the script that drove the film. It was undeniable."
"She'd remained attached through all the film's refinancing. It's a long time to wait and I know she turned down some stuff to be ready to do it.
"Her hours on the shoot were so long - we were often the first to turn up and always the last to leave."
