This Is It

This Is It

After it's global premiere last week it comes as no surprise that Michael Jackson's This Is It has topped the U.S. box office.

Fans of the late star have flocked to cinemas since it's mid week release and the film has grossed over $21 million.

The movie is a compilation of interviews, rehearsals and backstage footage of Michael Jackson as he prepared for his series of sold-out shows in London.

Paranormal Activity slipped to two, after finally claiming the number spot after five weeks last week, but it still grossed a further $16 million.

Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx's partnership in Law Abiding Citizen moved up one place from four to three while there was a two place rise for Couple Retreat as it moved from five to four.

Saw VI fell three places to round off the top five.

This Is It was the only new entry inside the top ten this week but biopic picture Amelia moved back inside the top ten as it rose from eleven to nine.

This weeks biggest fallers came in the form of Where the Wild Things Are, which dropped from three to six, and Cirque Du Freak, which also dropped three places from seven to ten.
