Jesse Eisenberg fells that his performance in the Social Network is the not the best of his career.
The David Fincher movie, which follows the founding of Facebook, has received critical acclaim, as well as doing well at the box office.
Eisenberg has gone on to pick up a Best Actor Oscar nomination for his central role as Mark Zuckerberg but the actor believes that he has given better performances in other movies.
Speaking to CBS News the actor said: "I acknowledge this movie is regarded better than anything I've ever been in.
"I feel like I've acted better in other things."
"It doesn't always feel like there's a direct correlation between, like, what you do and the efforts you put in and the reception that follows."
Eisenberg finds himself nominated alongside James Franco, Jeff Bridges,Javier Bardem and red hot favourite for the award Colin Firth.
The Social Network is out on DVD now.
