The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey has made it three weeks at the top of the U.S. box office.
The first instalment of the The Hobbit trilogy held of strong competition from Django Unchained and Les Misérables to make it three weeks as the #1 movie in the States.
It took a further $32.9 million in what was a close battle at the top of the box office.
Django Unchained, which is the new movie from Quentin Tarantino, had to settle for second as it took just over $30 million in it's opening weekend.
Les Misérables was close behind on $28 million as the film enjoyed a great opening weekend at the global box office.
Parental Guidance was the third and final new entry on the chart this week as it opened at number four.
Jack Reacher was down three places this week at number five while comedy This is 40 was also down three at number six.
Oscar excitement may be growing around Lincoln but it was down two this week from five to seven. The Guilt Trip and Monsters, Inc 3D were both also down two at eight and nine.
Rise of the Guardians was this week's biggest faller as it dropped six places from four to number ten.
