The Avengers
The success of The Avengers just keeps on going as it has grossed over $600 million at the U.S. box office.
It is only the third movie in history to reach this mark and follows in the footsteps pf Titanic and Avatar.
The movie took over $200 million in the U.S. in it's opening three days as it broke all opening weekend record.
So far the movie has grossed over $1,43 billion, jumping over Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 to become the third biggest movie of all time.
The Avengers has send down the gauntlet to DC Comic movie The Dark Knight Rises, which is set to hit the big screen later this summer.
Back in 2008 The Dark Knight took just over $1 billion and it the twelfth biggest movie of all time but The Dark Knight Rises is expected to eclipse that success.
The closet movie, in terms of box office success, this year is The Hunger Games which took over $661 million worldwide.
