Terry Gilliam has revealed that he is finding it difficult to promote his latest movie The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus after the death of Heath Ledger.
Ledger passed away from an accidental overdose in January 2008, when he was half way through filming Gilliam's latest movie.
But production on the movie continued as Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law all came together to complete the film in memory of the actor.
In an interview with PA the filmmaker said: "It's hard work but it's worth it. It's hard when you start thinking back. What's nice is the reactions of the people, it's not like I have to sell some turkeys.
"Heath's performance is wonderful and Johnny, Colin and Jude saved the day. In a sense it's promoting itself."
"They carried on the spirit of what Heath was doing. Colin swore he was channeling Heath at one point. Heath has a very powerful spirit."
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is released 16th October.
