Production on the fourth Terminator movie has been given the green light. The new film Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins is expected to re-invent the franchise.While the film has been given an expected release date of 2009 it is still unsure who will take the lead role in the film. Arnold Schwarzenegger is unlikely to reprise his role as producer Moritz Borman said in a statement 'We've left it open for him to maybe do a cameo'.There are also rumours that Hollywood hardman Vin Diesel will take up the role of the cyborg.In a further revelation it appears that Warner Bros, who now own the rights to Terminator, are planning not one but three movies.The trilogy will be set completely in the future and feature heavily the war between humans and robots.The franchise is already enjoying a reprisal in America as a television show the Sarah Connor Chronicles.The show, which stars Lena Headey, takes on the role of Connors made famous by Linda Hamilton in the films.The 2003 movie Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines grossed $427 at the worldwide box office.
