Terminator Salvation
McG has revealed that the pregnancy plot in Terminator Salvation is the key to future movies.
The filmmaker has teamed up with Christian Bale, who takes on the role of John Connor, to bring the fourth film in the Terminator franchise to the big screen.
Talking to MTV news the director said: That's to be explored in the prospective second and third picture."
"Now, I would never be so bold to presume that there will be another [Terminator sequel].
"But we've arced out a story that includes that child and its fate and what it becomes in this world of man versus machine."
McG has not kept any of the story lines form Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines expect that one that sees Connor marry Kate Brewster.
In the new movie Brewster is pregnant with the couple's first child. The director has hinted that their children may become an important factor in the resistance.
There are already talks of a sequel despite Salvation not having yet been released.
Terminator Salvation is released 3rd June.
