Terminator Salvation
McG has removed a topless shot of Moon Bloodgood from his new movie Terminator Salvation because he thought it was 'gratuitous'.
Moon Bloodgood takes on the role of Blair Williams, a battle hardened lead pilot in the resistance and the love interest for Sam Worthington's character Marcus Wright.
Speaking to Wenn the filmmaker said: 'Oh, there's the genre stunt of the good looking girl taking her top off.' It felt counterproductive in the spirit of what we were looking to achieve on a storytelling level.
"I suspect it will be on the DVD. I don't know, ask Moon. She was very passionate in sort of a third-wave feminist take on the whole thing. It was a fun conversation to have."
"I didn't want people to have a reason to say, 'I can't take this film that seriously. They're still playing grab-ass and the film's made by a bunch of teenagers who just want the boob shot.'"
Terminator Salvation is the fifth movie in the Terminator franchise and sees Christian Bale take on the role of resistance leader John Connor.
