We are going to see a whole new Taylor Lautner in new movie Abduction according to the film's director John Singleton.
Singleton says the actor has a 'different kind of swag' from what we have seen in Twilight as he takes on the central character in Abduction.
Speaking to MTV the director said: "I put him through his paces and I can say this to the MTV audience: They're gonna see a whole different Taylor Lautner from what Jacob is in the 'Twilight' pictures.
"My goal as a director was to work with him as an actor, for him to have something that's a different character.
I've done some stuff that I'm sure all the young ladies will really love ... and it's beyond taking his shirt off.
"It's about him having a different kind of swag than he does as Jacob. In this movie, he's Nathan Harper and he's a kickass dude in this movie."
Abduction is the first movie since Eclipse for the actor as he joins forces with Lily Collins, Alfred Molina and Jason Isaacs.
He will be back as Jacob later this year with 2011 The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1.
Abduction is released 28th September.
