Taylor Lautner has pulled out of fighter pilot drama Northern Lights, according to reports.
The 18 year old had signed up to star as a young pilot who struggles with his controlling, billionaire father, with Tom Cruise rumoured to be in the running to play Lautner's onscreen dad.
But the teenager has now pulled out of the project, according to Deadline Hollywood Daily.
Lautner has a string of other movie projects lined up outside of the Twilight franchise, including thriller Cancun and sci-fi action movie Max Steel.
Lautner has shot to fame since the Twilight series of movies hit the big screen, New Moon propelling him further as character Jacob Black got a bigger part.
He is currently part of the ensemble cast in Valentine’s Day, a film which topped the U.S. and UK box office.
He will return to the character of Jacob Black later this year as Eclipse, the third film in the Twilight series, hit’s the big screen this summer.
