Taylor Lautner has admitted that he plans to slim back down when his stint on the Twilight movies comes to an end.
Rumours were that the sixteen year old actor, who has shot to stardom after the success of the film, wouldn't be reprising the due to him lacking the physical requirements for the role, which sees his character undergo a transformation in the next story.
However new director Chris Weitz put faith in the young actor who has bulked up for his role as Jacob Black.
In an interview with People the actor said: "Jacob's character is continually growing throughout the series."
"So I got about eight weeks off before I go back again for Eclipse and I'm going to be hitting the gym.
"When we're done with the Twilight films I'll definitely bulk down and just get lean again because I don't want to stay big and bulky."
New Moon will hit cinemas at the end of 2009.
