FILMCLUB has caught up with Taylor Kitsch, star of new sci-fi epic John Carter to talk about filming the blockbuster and what is next for him.
The leading man - whose previous credits include hit US series Friday Night Lights and X-Men Origins: Wolverine - discussed his role in the action-packed film which is based on the Edgar Rice Burroughs classic novel and tells the tale of war-weary, former military captain John Carter, who is inexplicably transported to Mars where he becomes reluctantly involved in a conflict of epic proportions between the inhabitants of the planet.
Taylor talked about what inspired him to want to be in the movie; "Working with Andrew Stanton, one of the best storytellers of our time and with the cast that’s in the film is obviously a great opportunity to work with the best."
He also indicated that he might like to flex his musical muscle in the future "I’m dying to play a musician, just so I can get really good on the guitar... or I’m dying to do a Western."
The interview was part of the FILMCLUB Young Ambassador scheme, which enables youngsters to take part in film industry events, such as premieres and press conferences.
