Taylor Kitsch has revealed that the role of John Carter was the most exhausting part that he has ever taken on.
The actor is set to return to the big screen this week as the title character in the Andrew Stanton directed movie.
The film is the biggest role of Kitsch's career so far but he admits that it was a tiring one.
Speaking at the press conference in London to promote the movie Kitsch said: There was many times where I thought that you (Stanton) had a vendetta, especially that great white ape sequence.
"But he (Stanton) made a great point when we were filming; I don’t know whether it was to motive me or what, but it was ’the more we beat you up the more you are going to be liked’.
"So much he sacrifices for Dejah, for the cause, the Tharks and himself so to say the least this was the most exhausting thing that I have ever been a part of."
It is set to be a busy year for the actor as he will also be leading the cast in Battleship later this year.
John Carter is released 9th March
