Sylvester Stallone has revealed that he believes his career is on borrowed time.
The sixty three year old actor and director has hinted that he may retire from acting and move into directing full time.
Speaking to The Sun the actor said: "I'm on borrowed time. At this age I hear the ticking clock and it's as loud as the gong on Big Ben.
"The ultimate ambition is to follow in Clint Eastwood's footsteps and move on to directing films without me having to be in them.
"I'm on borrowed time and know my longevity will be predicated on being able to make that move."
But Stallone is back on the big screen this summer with his new movie, which he stars in and directs, The Expendables, which also stars Mickey Rourke, Jason Statham, Jet Li and Eric Roberts.
Later this year he will lend his voice to movie The Zookeeper and has been linked to projects The Dam and Death Wish.
The Expendables is released 20th August.
