Steven Spielberg has described filmmaking as a craft and hints that he likes the old-fashioned way of making movies.
While film technology has leapt forward in recent years with the 3D boom it's the handmade method that the Indiana JOne director admits that he likes the most.
Talking to Empire the director said: "All kids have to do these days is take their cellphone, flip it open and make a movie, but I like the way it started.
"It wasn't a point-and-click art form, it was a craft. It involved solvents, photo-chemistry, cutting out poster board with industrial scissors and getting your fingers fused with Elmer's glue.
"It was all homemade stuff. If I was a chef, a microwave would be my worst enemy. I would want to do it the old-fashioned way."
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull back in 2008 was the last time that we saw Spielberg in the director's chair, although he has had plenty of producing jobs since then, but he is back later this year with War Horse.
The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn is also set for release this year, which sees him team up with Peter Jackson.
