Steven Spielberg has revealed that the action genre doesn't attract him anymore.
Spielberg will be back in the director's chair early next year with his new movie Lincoln, which will see him team up with Daniel Day Lewis.
The biopic is a change of pace for the director who admits that the action genre doesn't excite him any more.
Speaking to 60 Minutes the director said: "I knew I could do the action in my sleep at this point in my career.
"In my life, the action doesn`t hold any... It doesn`t attract me anymore,"
Lincoln focuses on one part of the President's life and that is towards the end of the Civil War as he fought to abolish slavery.
The movie is already being tipped as a possible Oscar contender and we could see the film and the director walk away with a few gongs this awards season.
Lincoln will be the first movie for Spielberg since War Horse but he is set to start work on Robopocalypse.
Lincoln is released 25th January.
