Steven Spielberg has revealed that he was proud of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
Until Spielberg returned with Tintin earlier this year Indy 4 was the last time that we had seen him direct a feature - and despite some aspects of the movie not being to everyone's liking he was proud.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly the filmmaker said: "I'm really proud of the movie.
"I loved bringing Marion back, I love the fact that Indy now has a son. It's a family action film, and I love that whole conceit."
"It's public that George [Lucas] and I and Harrison [Ford] all had a clash about genre and concept.
"But I've always told George's stories. George wrote all four stories for all four movies."
Despite some issues over the plot The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull went on to be the most successful Indiana Jones movie of all time.
And there have been suggestions that a fifth instalment could be in the pipeline.
Away from the franchise and Spielberg has plenty of projects on the go as he will be back in the new year with War Horse.
He is currently filming biopic picture Lincoln with Robopocalypse also on the horizon
