Steven Spielberg has admitted that he and Peter Jackson really wanted Doctor Who writer Steven Moffat aboard their Tintin project.
Moffat, along with Joe Cornish and Edgar Wright penned the script for The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn and Spielberg is pleased with their choice.
Speaking to The Sun Spielberg said: "Peter [Jackson] and I felt whoever did Doctor Who would have a good sensibility for Tintin.
"It so happens Steven had read Tintin since he was 8."
The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn marks the return to the director's chair for Spielberg - his first film since Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
The movie sees him team up with fellow Oscar winner Peter Jackson who is serving as producer on the movie.
And we will be seeing another Spielberg movie hit the big screen in the new year as War Horse is an early Oscar favourite.
The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn is out now.
