Steven Soderbergh has revealed that he is not retiring.
Rumours had been floating around that the Oscar winning actor was leaving the world of movies behind - however he denies that this is the case.
Speaking to BBC News he said: It's less dramatic than it sounds. It's just a sabbatical."
"I feel I need to recalibrate, so I can discover something new."
Soderbergh has brought together an impressive cast, which includes Gwyneth Paltrow, Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Jude Law and Marion Cotillard, for his latest movie Contagion.
And he still has some projects in the pipeline including a big screen adaptation of TV series The Man from U.N.C.L.E - a movie that George Clooney left last week.
He is also set to work on Liberace, which is set to have Michael Douglas in the title role alongside Matt Damon.
Contagion is released 21st October.
