Steve Coogan has confirmed that there is an Alan Partridge movie on the horizon.
The actor is currently starring alongside Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian which is top of the US and Australian box office.
In an interview with BBC Radio 1 to promote the movie funnyman Coogan revealed that there were plans to bring the popular television character to the silver screen.
"We are planning on making a movie. We're talking at the moment. What it is we're not quite sure."
He went on to admit that a storyline had been developed for the movie and that the character may alter slightly.
"That's just something you need to be aware of. You need to be aware of that and it might mean you readdress the character, make him slightly subtler or build up to it in a different way.
"But that's certainly something that's going to be on our minds but I think Alan is complex enough to sustain something longer."
Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian is out now.
