Stephenie Meyer has praised the casting of British actor in the Twilight Saga claiming that he is perfect for the role of Edward Cullen.
Stephenie Meyer's wrote the popular novels, the first of which was adapted for the big screen last year.
In an interview with E! she said: "I knew that the problem was going to be Edward, because he's the perfect vampire," she said.
"How do you cast that from your pool of human actors?
"There's something unusual. There are moments where he looks exactly like he did in my head."
Pattinson returns to the role of vampire Edward Cullen this week for New Moon, the second book in the series to be adapted for the big screen.
